Hinava Tenggiri




My father craving for our Sabahan local Hinava. So I decided to made it as one of our dishes that night.




The Ingredients:


1 Lemon (Juice squeezed)
3 shallots (Thinly sliced)
3-4 cloves garlic (Minced)
1" Ginger (Cut Julienne)
1 Cili Padi/Red Chilli (Thinly sliced)
3-4 slices of Ikan Tenggiri (Spanish Mackerel)
Salt and white pepper for seasoning




Directions:


1. Clean the fish
2. Cut the flesh cube from the bone (Pic 1)
3. Using a fork, scrape the flesh from the skin (Pic 2)
4. All the fish flesh I got (Pic 3)
5. Pour in the hot water into the bowl and rinse it for a while (Few second not too long)





6. After rinsing with hot water.





7. Add in all the sliced ingredients into the bowl.
8. Add in the lemon juice and seasoning.
9. You can taste it and correct the taste according to your likes. If you love it spicy add more Cili Padi.
